I’m very glad to report that our DGGS Debate Team won their first meeting against Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys yesterday afternoon.

Whilst our team faced a robust opposition who were rhetorically gifted, the judges commended the DGGS team’s exceptional preparedness for the debate, their intellectual courage, and their ability to respond thoughtfully to so many questions from the opposing team.

My sincere thanks to both Ms Nicola Hay and Mr Oli Chipchase for their support with the event. It also really was lovely to see so many of our wider Debate Club there supporting the team.
