Homework

Homework is set in accordance with the school Homework Policy.  It is planned and set regularly, and not just set for the sake of it.  It is set to reinforce or extend learning and, as with all other tasks, linked to learning objectives and learning outcomes.  Homework should be recorded in Homework Diaries.

Homework is set throughout the school. Pupils in Year 7 are expected to spend about an hour a night and the time gradually increases each year.  In Key Stages 4 and 5, students spend a considerable amount of time on assignments for their GCSE and A Level examinations and must be encouraged to organise their time in order to meet prescribed deadlines.
