Headteacher Welcome

Welcome to Dover Grammar School for Girls.

I am extremely privileged to be Headteacher of this wonderful school. Dover Grammar School for Girls (DGGS) has a long tradition of high academic outcomes, but we are much more than just these outcomes. DGGS offers a wide range of opportunities which run alongside our taught curriculum and successfully promotes, and achieves, an environment of equality, diversity and inclusion. Students and staff work closely together to foster the school’s strong caring community. Students attending this amazing school grow into well rounded individuals, developing the skills, talents and the character to enable them to flourish in an ever-changing world.

I am confident that although this website provides just a snapshot of what we do, it will show you that DGGS is a school that places character, respect and success at the heart of everything we do. We believe that our students will develop the character values of mutual respect, intellectual curiosity, compassion, courage and, above all, a strong moral purpose. These are values which our students embody in their day-to-day interactions and values that stay with them long after they have left the school.

Students who attend DGGS are happy at school and are supported in their education by a highly skilled and knowledgeable staff body. The working relationships between staff and students is testament to the maturity of our students and the role model they provide to younger students. I am extremely proud of the students at DGGS and their positive attitudes towards learning.

I look forward to welcoming you to DGGS.

    Mr Daniel Quinn
