Once again, students from Dover Grammar School for Girls have seen their art chosen for a national exhibition. The annual Exhibition of Student Art is held at the prestigious Mall Galleries in London and showcases the best student art from across the country.

The Frith Road school, recently named as one of the top 10% for achievement in the country has seen four of its students selected to have their work displayed and four others commended for their work.

Headteacher Matthew Bartlett commented ‘this is a fitting tribute to the talent of these students, but above all to the tireless commitment of the art department’. He also added that ‘it is a real pleasure to see the department being recognised in the year that its Subject Leader Joan Weston retires, after ten years of dedication.’ The art department was last year a recipient of two awards from the Good Schools Guide in recognition of its outstanding achievements.
