Dover Grammar School for Girls is celebrating again with the publication of their latest GCSE results. A stellar 45% of all results were at the top grades of A* and A confirming the school as the top performing secondary school in the district. ‘We are delighted, not least because this follows swiftly on from our A level results where we were the top school in East Kent according to the Daily Telegraph’ commented Headteacher Matthew Bartlett. He added ‘We are particularly pleased with the new Progress 8 measure which has been introduced this year and shows that Dover Grammar School for Girls students achieve in excess of half a grade more than they are predicted from their prior achievement. In short their life chances are enhanced because they benefit from our special blend of teaching and support.’
Some of the highlights of this year’s exceptional results at GCSE include:

• 80% of the students achieved 10 or more A*-C grades including English and Maths
• 49 students have 5 or more A*/A grades including the top grades in English and Maths
• 26 students have 10 or more A*/A grades including the top grades in English and Maths
